USA

*Update*

It is Wednesday morning on the 22nd of September, I have been here in the States for almost a month now. The last weeks have been an utterly amazing experience. I feel happy with the way things turned out and my family over here has been more than I could have ever hoped for.

My next stop will be Stockholm, I will meet up with my friend Sanna and stay there for the next weekend. Stay tuned!

(I will add pictures as soon as the picture upload works again)

Hi there!

Here we are, psyched up and ready to go, my plane to Frankfurt leaving in about 4 hours while I'm writing this post to keep me occupied.

Cleaned out my room prior to writing this, since I actually found myself someone to live in my room while I am overseas. Saves me a lot of money, which I may then spend otherwise. :)

Anyhow, packed as less stuff as possible, since I don't have a big suitcase (yet) anyway. Will buy one once I adjusted to hot and humid Louisiana and probably do a little bit of shopping in order to fill it up with something.

Haven't been in the States for 20 years now, and never in Louisiana. The plan is to stay in Lake Charles, LA for about 20 days with my American side of the family and then leave for Kansas City Monday morning, to visit my German aunt Christine and my two cousins in Missouri for another ten days.

After that, I'll take a plane back to Europe (on the 23rd of September) to spend a few days in lovely Stockholm. Haven't had the chance to go there during my Erasmus, so it sure is about time to get to see Sweden's capital.

I will then leave Sweden on the 27th to land in Berlin the same day, again to stay a few days in town.

If everything turns out as planned, I'll be back in Nuremberg around the 30th of September. We will be having a Erasmus reunion at the Oktoberfest, I'm hoping to make it in time to see some of the people from last semester again.

Okay then... let's do this!!

Talk to you soon,
Christopher

Barcelona

*UPDATE*

Adding some pictures.
Had a splendid time in Barcelona, we had a buttload of fun and it felt good being with the guys again. Looking forward to our next meet up!

Hey people!
Lots and lots of work with my exams over the past 4 weeks, that is over now.

So, what are my plans for summer?

Well, I'll be leaving for Barcelona in a few hours and stay there until Wednesday next week.
My Spanish caballeros will be waiting for me at Girona airport and we'll have ourselves a lovely little Växjö reunion tomorrow evening.

I'll spend the weekend in Barcelona and, if everything turns out as planned, stay at Enrics summer house out at the ocean until Wednesday. Couldn't be more excited than right now. :D

I definitely need the downtime, so no Internet, mobile phone, Facebook and whatsoever for the next few days.

The other big thing this summer will be my trip to the States. I'll stay for 4 weeks in total to spend the first 18 days with my American side of the family in Lake Charles, Louisiana. After that, it's Missouri at my aunt Christine's place.

I'll try to elaborate on all of it somewhere down the road, it's 3am right now and I think I should try to catch some sleep.

Talk to you soon folks!

Lots of love.
Chris

Sweden revisited, vol. #1

UPDATE:

Had a splendid time last weekend, this goes out to all my friends all over the world - I love you guys!

Gonna be back in Sweden fo' sure,
my plan is to go to Barcelona first some time in August.

I'll continue with this blog in the foreseeable future, the current idea is to have a world explorer diary, so you'll get to see more than Sweden in future posts.

Thanks again for all the support I received so far, I very much appreciate it.
See you soon!

Chris

YES, I am (almost) back!

At least for a weekend I am, but that's mighty fine with me.
It is Allkårfestival in Växjö, which means a whole week full of Swedish partey insanity, reunites with old friends, Swedish rock music and expensive drinks!

I am soo excited!
Now let's just hope that cloud of stinking ash won't destroy all of my weekend plans.

I'll keep you posted on things, probably some time early next week, since I won't have my computer with me.

Vi ses i Sverige!

27 hours left.

yep yep.

Sitting in the common room of Lyan's (thank you very much for having me Danny), waiting for people to wake up from last night.
Gonna pay some last visits to my dearest of friends here, it's gonna be tough but at least I'm not the only one leaving campus the next days,
a lot of my Swedish friends are leaving as well to study/work somewhere around Europe.

Yeah, just hope to see some of you in the future and keep in contact once I get back to "normal" life outside of this bubble here.

It's been a great time, there's nothing to regret and I will leave this place with a smile on my face because of you guys out there,
my friends from home I hope to see again soon, my family and of course my new friends from all over the world.

Vi ses!

Chris

I wont miss the f****** expensive hair-cutters though...

Farewell, Sverige!

Well, not quite yet.

Having my last exam today and I successfully managed to pass in my Web 2.0 project on time. My God, what a relief!

Anyway, things will go real quick from here, we have inspection for the apartment by tomorrow 9am and move out on Friday.
Better hope that my Spanish friends make up it with their promise being our hosts for the final weekend.

If everything works as planned, Andi, a friend from Germany is coming over on Friday to join us for our last days here and take the road trip with us back home.
I'd appreciate some good weather back in Germany, I have no ambitions whatsoever sliding my way back home.

I'll be back around the 22. of January to spend a week or two back in good old Wiesen,
have some catching up to do with family matters etc.

Before that, it's two days of Berlin where I'll finally get to see Steffen's new place to live, can't wait to hang again bro! ;)

I'll post some last pictures along the way,
keep it real folks!

Chris
