It's been a while...

I know. :)

There's just so much going on with my studies right now, I hardly even get to party. :(
I'm working on my Web 2.0 project at the moment and have a big paper to send in by Friday evening.
To say the least, it's definitely going to be big when it's done - we have to build a social networking Web 2.0 website from scratch and if I get this done until the start of next year I'll be mighty proud of myself...

until then, I might add some screen-shots sooner or later to give away some impressions.
We just finished the design and it's a really fancy web-page, so keep a look out for the next big thing in social networking. ;)

cya!

Göteborg, there and back again

Update: Well, not really... I'm still waiting for the pictures and granted the time would have a lot more to tell, but there's a lot of studying for me to do lately.

I managed to see my first Ice-Hockey game this week though,
we took some video-footage, as can be seen here:

Växjö Lakers vs. Örebrö

There's more to see, I'll add some more sooner or later.

Other than that,
a trip to Huseby christmas market next week and
the ESN Sea Battle from Nov. 17th to Nov. 19th are coming up.

The ESN Sea Battle will offer 3 days of extensive drinking (with an afternoon to spend in Talinn, Estonia) and party on a cruise liner, that's not too bad. ;)
Plus, I'll finally see some of Stockholm!!

Okay,
so I posted the picture with the Swedish food earlier because we had a "Swedish Night" two weeks ago.
Some 50 participants were taking part in a Swedish activity/dinner evening located in town.
On our way there we had to do some typical Swedish activities, like dancing around a Midsommar tree while singing the Swedish frog song or playing a party of kubb.

After that, we had the opportunity to try all kinds of Swedish food, including köttbullar, potato casserole, kaviar, all kinds of fish etc..

Of course, what would a Swedish dinner be without ABBA, so we also got to listen to them... a lot.

What else?
As I mentioned earlier, I have some work ahead of me.
Last week I had my next three courses starting, making a total of 4 right now.

Luckily, I'll be done with Swedish by the end of next week, but there's this oral and written exam I have to pass first.

I will try to keep you guys up-to-date,
so don't lose faith in me! ;)

Adios!

(almost) live from Göteborg hostel living room

God kväll!

Had a splendid (and expensive) weekend in Göteborg but maan, what a great time we had there!
More details and pictures will follow,
couldn't take any because I left my SD card in the card-loader, but my Spanish friend shot pictures a plenty!

A small appetizer for now,
more details later:

still alive...

but other than that, I have a really bad cold.

Fortunately enough though, I'm having good company right now.
My roomy André moved out for the next ten days, since his girlfriend arrived for
a visit here last weekend, and with him moving out I managed to get myself a new roomy.

She takes good care of me right now, buying me honey drops for my sore throat and cooking good tea in order for me to get better,
which is much appreciated.

So all in all I'm keeping it low right now in hope to feel better again until the weekend,
I'll be going to Göteborg with the Spanish guys.

man lever bara en gång, talk to you later people!

One down - three to go!

God kvall!

Finally had my first exam in Network Security today and by now feel pretty positive about it.
It was definitely worth all the work with the papers I had to write and the last 5 days of total isolation from the outside world, the exam itself turned out to be reaaally chilled out.

I had time from 8 am to 1 pm to write an exam that would've been like a 90 minute exam back at home,
so I had 5 hours in total to write my test. :)

That's kinda how it works in Sweden, people don't like being put under pressure so
you actually have time to think instead of just scribbling down words on a paper like a stupid machine.

Man, what a blast... and now it's chillout and party again until the 02. of November (!!),
I could get used to this people.

Other than that, we postponed our Göteborg trip to maybe next weekend, I'll definitely have some catching up to do with partying over the weekend, re-socializing and stuff.

Okay then, I'll be going to bed now,
stay tuned!

Chris
